The MWF series of enclosed-head orbital tube welding systems is designed for circumferential butt welding of metal tubes where the joint geometry and welding conditions are suitable for the selected welding head. Across the different MWF models, the combined applicable tube outside-diameter range is 3.17–219 mm; individual welding heads have their own specified size ranges. Equipment selection also depends on wall thickness, available clamping length and clearance for welding-head operation.
The MWA-200 welding power supply, designed for use with the MWF series, can automatically generate welding parameters based on the entered tube diameter and wall thickness. It can also store up to 990 sets of welding parameters for retrieval when switching between different tube sizes and welding jobs. For larger tube diameters or joints requiring filler-wire addition, open-head orbital welding solutions can be evaluated according to the specific application.
Heat Exchanger Welding | MWH U-Tube Welding and MWP Tube-to-Tubesheet Welding
The MWH series of U-tube welding machines and the MWP series of all-position tube-to-tubesheet welding systems are intended for manufacturing applications involving condensers, evaporators and shell-and-tube heat exchangers.
